A New Airliner

The Europeans, in particular air carrier Easy Jet is asking that the airframe manufacturers build more effcient planes.  See:

The interesting part is that EasyJet is asserting that what’s needed is available now and should be integrated into current offerings.  The story by the Guardian is well done, short and to the point.  Noteworthy is the comment that aviation is only  1.6% of global CO2 emissions, while no info is included about the share of aviations part in oil use.

Its sure a lift to read that an airline is pushing for some better fuel economy and emissions.  Now if they’d just allow a place for my knees . . .
