		<description>Hang on, CO2 is NOT a fuel.  It is a product of burning fuels.  Yes, it can be used to feed algae but those same algae still require energy (sunlight) to convert it into something useful, ie fats or sugars.  And as for turning CO2 back into fuel, that requires more energy than can be harvested from burning that same fuel.</description>

Trees, grass, and algae may be less efficient, but genetic engineering can make them more efficient at capturing CO2 than at present.  And trees are much cheaper to &quot;build&quot; in most parts of the Earth.

In the atmosphere, CO2 is less than 0.4% of all gases, so from an economical standpoint, you might want to focus on grabbing CO2 where the concentrations are higher.
