Back in 1995 Charles Munger, friend, attorney and partner of Warren Buffet spoke to an audience at Harvard Law School. While Buffet is often seen as the “Oracle Of Omaha” and other folksy labels by no means has Mr. Buffet succeeded alone. Mr. Munger is a very long term friend, partner and has experienced much of the same journey as Mr. Buffet at Berkshire Hathaway. I suspect if not for the incredible success these men have achieved they would both happily stay to themselves leaving their wisdom to be rediscovered over and over and over again. It would be great to overhear them discussing things wouldn’t it?

The speech is titled “The Psychology of Human Misjudgment” a close approximation to what the theme is about. Yet the 24 or so items discussed open up a huge array of things to understand in greater detail and worth considering incorporating into one’s basic thinking script. I also hope to tweak some thinkers like the estimable Al Fin who may pick up on the topics in the speech and offer more sophisticated thinking or alternatives or maybe even deeper understanding. The topic Mr. Munger offers are almost a list of things to grasp and adopt in much wider arena than just making money.

Please keep in mind this is a transcript of a speech. Without further pontificating here is the link:
